For twenty-seven years, Dr. James B. Smith has demonstrated progressive, successful leadership and program development of non-profit organizations and private-public partnerships. Dr. Smith has a tremendous passion for business and administrative functions of non-profit organizations with keen, proven analytical and administrative acumen. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to revise systems to increase efficiency and program effectiveness.

Driven by making the world a better place for all of us to live, thrive, and grow, Dr. Smith founded Pneuma Consulting, LLC. Our job is to breathe new energy into existing systems in order to stimulate strategic thinking, to foster growth, and to achieve desired outcomes. Chester Barnard, a pioneering public administration theorist, believed that an organization’s success is directly connected to those who manage and engage the internal systems. In other words, human beings drive organizational success.

Dr. Smith’s focus is not just to understand the complexity of operational systems and the challenges of change. In our engagement with your company, our first goal is to understand the problem and those who drive change within the system. Our business philosophy is framed upon the notion that growth and success require innovative thinking and an appreciation for humanity in the workplace. No solution, no strategy, nor innovative idea can work without the consideration of human capital.

Dr. Chris Sopa is an industrial organizational psychologist, speaker, and researcher who has spent the last 20 years studying human potential, self-awareness, and ‘selective mind theory™, (the ability to select the thoughts that will drive the behaviors we seek). After experiencing several tragic and challenging life events, Dr. Sopa became a student of her own life and is compelled by the belief that when self-aware, we can extract the lessons from our life experiences and use them to guide us.

Dr. Sopa’s passion can be found at the juncture of the mind (logic) and the heart (intuition), both working together as channels that guide us on our own unique path as individuals and organizations. She uses the idea of tapping into the whole person (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) to help people overcome seemingly impossible obstacles, personal and professional life changes, loss of power (self-worth), and illness.  While part of the Team as a Strategic Collaborative Partner with G&A, she also has a practice helping individuals and organizations release their hidden potential.

Dr. Sopa’s services include numerous organizational assessments to access the where, how, and why needed to navigate through challenges and attaining the next level of success; advise and coach leadership through organizational change, situational opportunities, and cultural challenges; assess, interview, and assist in selecting potential talent, and others.
